How to complete your Child Profile
Every Child who joins Shepperton Pre-School has a Key Person who gets to know them very well....this relationship can get off to a great start, and be strengthened, by having some key information about your child on which to build. At registration you will be given a 'Child Profile'. Below are some clues and hints to use when completing the profile. If possible, please complete the profile with your child's help. ....................................................................................

What is important to me Record what really matters to me- Who are the people I live with? Who is important to me – extended family, friends, carers, pets)- and why? How do I spend my day? What do I usually do? What do I always do? 3 things that make a good day…. 3 things that make a bad day… (at home, at preschool, in the community) What makes me feel better when I am stressed? What would I never leave home without?
What people like about me and what I like about myself
What do family and friends say about me?
What do they love and admire about me?
Keep it positive!
How best to support me/What is important for me Describe the support that might be needed from others to keep me safe and healthy - what is good support? Environment (rooms and how they are arranged; adaptations that might be needed) Equipment and resources that might be needed Mobility Routines that are important to me (mealtimes/sleep/medication) My intimate care routine (toilet routine) How do other people support me? What are my communication needs? Are there any dangers to consider? (Allergies etc)
